Sylvie Mayer

Sylvie Mayer is an artist and oil painter. A former resident of Oklahoma City, Sylvie was a faculty member at Oklahoma Contemporary's Studio School and Norman's Firehouse Art Center, teaching painting and drawing. She recently completed an MFA in Painting at Boston University and has a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has been an artist in residence at Vermont Studio Center and Mass MoCA, and a recipient of grants from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation. Other than making art, Sylvie loves going to farmers' markets, cooking, skiing, and knitting. Sylvie has illustrated for issues of EdibleOKC, including the cover for May & June 2023.
